Founded by the Lloyd family in 1883 to serve the growing cycle trade. Using Minerva 211cc kits Quadrant started assembling motorcycles and tricycles in 1901 and then machines with their own engines in 1903. Personality clashes led to an unsettled company in the later Edwardian period but they continued development. The business survived until 1928 selling modest numbers of machines.

This 654 Quadrant is an interim model marketed immediately after WW1. It comprises Quadrants own 4 1/2 HP engine mounted in a 1915/16 designed frame with 3 speed stormy archer gearbox. Although in preservation since the 1960’s it has never returned to the road. Wearing its original London registration mark it’s awaiting completion. V5C present.
